Automations
Missing Booking Notifications
Notify employees who are present in the office but haven't booked a desk.
This automation detects employees who are physically present in the office but don't have a desk booking for the day, and sends them a notification to book a desk.
How It Works
- After the configured trigger time, Pult identifies users with active presence at any configured presence location.
- For each present user, Pult checks whether they have a desk booking for today.
- If a user is present but has no booking, they receive a notification reminding them to book a desk.
- Each user is notified at most once per day.
Configuration
Navigate to Settings → Presence → General Settings → Automation Settings.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Notify active users without booking | Set the time of day when the automation begins checking. Before this time, no notifications are sent. |
To disable this automation, clear the time field.
Notification Delivery
Notifications are delivered through the same channels as other Pult notifications:
- Pult Web App (in-app notification)
- Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Google Chat (if integrated)
The notification prompts the user to open Pult and book a desk for the day.
When This Is Useful
- Encourage compliance with desk booking policies -- employees who arrive without booking are gently reminded.
- Improve data accuracy -- ensures desk usage is captured in the system for analytics.
- Reduce no-show waste -- if an employee is present, getting them into a booking means the desk appears as "in use" rather than "unbooked but occupied".
