Pult Presence
Automatically detect employee office attendance with Pult Presence -- using the Pult Agent, WiFi integration, or both.
Pult Presence automatically detects when employees are in the office, providing real-time attendance insights without manual check-ins. It feeds into analytics, desk booking confirmations, and notifications -- all without tracking location or working hours.
Two Detection Methods
Pult Presence offers two ways to detect office attendance. You can use either one or both together -- they feed into the same presence data.
Pult Agent
A lightweight desktop application installed on employee devices. It periodically checks the device's network connection and reports presence based on IP address matching.
WiFi Presence
Detects attendance through your existing WiFi infrastructure. Pult polls your WiFi controller for connected clients and matches them to users via MDM device data.
How It Works
Both detection methods follow the same principle: identify which network a user's device is connected to, match it against configured office locations, and record presence.
- Pult Agent sends periodic beacons containing the device's IP addresses. Pult checks these against configured presence location subnets to determine which office the user is in.
- WiFi Presence polls your WiFi controller for connected clients, then matches each client's MAC address to a user via MDM device data. Location mapping rules determine which presence location each client belongs to.
Both sources produce the same presence data, used across the entire Pult Presence platform.
What You Can Do With Presence Data
Presence Insights
View per-user attendance data, charts by location, and average attendance metrics. Export data as CSV or set up scheduled reports.
Booking Confirmation
Automatically confirm desk bookings when an employee is detected in the office -- no manual check-in needed.
Missing Booking Notifications
Notify employees who are present in the office but haven't booked a desk yet.
Meeting Room Check-In
Auto-check-in meeting room bookings based on attendee presence and release unused rooms.
